.50 GS BUILD

The .50 GS, otherwise known as the Desert Eagle or Deagle, is my top choice for a secondary weapon in the game. Its ability to deliver powerful, accurate headshot kills in just a single shot makes it a formidable force in any firefight. Not only is it effective in combat, but the satisfying visuals and quick kills also make it a personal favourite for finishing out a fight or chaining together a few nice shots to the head!

Below, I’ve shared my preferred setup for the .50 GS, as well as some strategies for utilizing it to its fullest potential.

HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY

The best way to use this .50 GS build is like any other secondary but this offers a quicker kill time than most, if you can land that headshot or two quick body shots.

Scenario: You have just finished a firefight but might not have the time to reload to take on that extra enemy or two. So what do you do? Switch to the .50 GS and hold the angle they might push, ensuring you are aiming at roughly head height (this is important to hit successive headshots consistently, the less you have to aim when the enemy appears the better, so aiming at roughly head height around a corner is key) for maximum kill potential.

Depending on your health you can peek from cover, if you are regenerating health following a fight, it is best to sit tight and hold a corner until you are back at maximum HP, or use utility grenades such as flash/smoke/stun to escape or reposition.

If you are at full HP and have knowledge of the enemy position (or use your game sense and map knowledge to take a guess where the enemy is most likely to be) then you can hold the aim down sight whilst slowly peeking the corner. This is important because the .50 GS doesn’t have the quickest ADS time, and the strength of this build is really not hip fire accuracy (but close range you are good).
